Stevie for a girl??

I have two DCs called Louis and Robyn. My husband is a Robert Louis Stevenson lover (though the names of our DCs are coincidental) and he thinks it would be funny to name our DD (due in November!) Stevie as a funny little homage to his favourite author.
While I have names I prefer, Stevie is growing on me but I don't know how common it is as a girls' name and I don't want her to be bullied.
Also is it ridiculous to have our three children be called Robyn, Louis and Stevie? Seems a bit obvious, so I'm not sure. But since Louis is the eldest they've always been Louis and Robyn rather than Robyn and Louis.

Would love some advice!

No. Even Stevie Nicks's real name isn't Stevie. It's Stephanie. Don't call a girl Stevie FFS. All people will think of is Stevie Wonder! That's where my mind went straight away anyway!

I like it! And Davey too - inspired by Judy Blume books as a teen 😁

One of my dd's best friends is called Stevie. She's a lovely little girl and the name is gorgeous on her.
No one has ever questioned it. Go for it!

I’d say it’s a nickname. Can you call her Stephanie nn Stevie, then she has a full female name in case she prefers this later on, and the link to the author is not too obvious.

Stephanie I do like actually thank you. I'll suggest to DH

Why would you do that? No one is going to meet her and know she is named after a male author they're going to wonder why you gave her a boys name or what it is short for.

It doesn't bear any resemblance to the authors name.

The author had a step daughter named Isobel. Maybe that?

Or maybe just name your child something you like just because she will be her own person.
