Looking for advice on a baby girls name

I have a little boy already and due a little girl in October. I don’t know why but we have really struggled to pick a girls name. We have three names we are keen on as we would like the name to begin with a C. I like them but not blown away by any. They are Cleo, Coco and Corissa. Any thoughts / does anyone have a lovely unusual name beginning with C? Thanks

Carys has not been mentioned yet. Can also be spelt Caris or Charis

wandawaves · 30/09/2023 08:56

My dog's name is Cleo. So many people struggle with this name for some reason and call her Chloe.

Goodornot · 30/09/2023 08:52

Coraline

Cassidy

Celine

Courtney Cox's daughter is named Coco then again it's also my friends dogs name.

Courtney

Also Cleo

My suggestion is Caylin.

I LOVE Cleo - other two are probably less to my taste.

Also like Clementine and Connie, and I know someone who has a daughter called Calia if you’re looking for other unusual ‘C’ options.

QueeniePlumtree · 26/09/2023 14:31

Personally, I know too many dogs called Coco! It's not for me!

Not too keen on Corissa - Clarissa is nicer.

Here are some other C's

Cecily
Cecilia
Cora
Connie
Clara
Claudia
Cleo
Corrina
Carmen
Crystal

Sorry I just think of Coco Pops. It would be better as a nickname.

Absolutely love a lot of these other suggestions though :)

Cleo is lovely.

Homehomehomealone · 26/09/2023 04:24

I agree that Coco is awful unless as some informal nickname for real name. Sorry. It just seems like a non name. Robbie Williams has a daughter called Colette and they gave her Coco as a nick name. I think that's cute and gives a child options when they grow up. Otherwise you're just called after the monkey on a box of Coco Pops. There are so many beautiful girls names out there that it seems such a shame to use Coco, but of course it's your baby!

Cara, Clara and Chloe are pretty. Chloe could lend itself to Coco as a nn, as could Cordelia as a PP suggested. Calista is cool and Caroline is an underrated classic. Carolina or Carola are sweet twists on a classic.

octoberfarm · 26/09/2023 04:12

I know a Colette who goes by Coco. Love Clara, Callie and Cara or Ciara. Clementine is sweet too.

mellongoose · 26/09/2023 03:59

We use Coco as a nickname for a'C' name in this house. It's fun, but her real name is what she's known by.

Spyral · 26/09/2023 03:46

My favourite girls' C names are

Camille
and
Collette, which could have Coco as a nn

OhNoForever · 25/09/2023 23:26

Or Cosette tbf although the les mis reference might be a bit much depending on your circles

OhNoForever · 25/09/2023 23:24

I love Collette

Viviennemary · 25/09/2023 23:21

Coco is silly. Cornelia, Corinne, Coral, cordelia are all quite nice I think. Constance too.

MargotBamborough · 25/09/2023 22:39

I really like Cleo, not keen on the others.

Prefer Clarissa to Corissa, and Clara to Clarissa.

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 25/09/2023 22:37

Cordelia is lovely. Coco is terrible. Corissa looks made up. Cleo is OK.

WetBandits · 25/09/2023 19:38

Coco is lovely as a nickname, and would be fine to use for any name starting with ‘Co’ Smile

Cordelia, Coralie, Coraline, Constance.

Twazique · 25/09/2023 19:34

Christal
Charity
