We already have an Elias...

What would you suggest for a little brother... Elias and....?

Elias's middle name is Grey
Middle name for new baby is potentially Rhodes.

Hoping one of you can inspire me!

Thanks xx

Gabriel (Biased)
Isaac

Abraham (nickname Bram) was on my list.

TotalOverhaul · 14/09/2023 00:05

I love Ezra, Isaac or Izaak, Isiah, Solomon (Solly), Raphael, Zachariah.

I just love traditional Jewish men's names.

TheNinjaWife · 14/09/2023 00:00

Ezekiel is a name I’ve always loved. Ezra, Benjamin, Solomon, Isaac and Joshua are also some of my favourites.
Reuben and Noah are good too. I’m not that keen on Rhodes. Maybe because I grew up in SA.

Ezekiel
Jonah

Wyatt
Xavier

Not much to add apart from:

  • My first thought was Samuel
  • Gabriel is lovely, but it has been the number 1 name where we live for some years now, so it's a bit everywhere for me
  • I absolutely love Jesse, and would have called my son that, but for various reasons it was ruled out (family members with same/similar name and pronunciation issues where we live)
  • Hebrew names really are beautiful

Samuel, samiel or Gabriel

On a more serious note- have you thought about the colonialism/mining slavery aspect of the name Rhodes

Elias Grey and Ark Rhodes

Ark Rhodes sounds like it should be the name of a school within a well known academy trust

Ark Putney
Ark Byron
Ark Dickens etc etc

Elias Grey and Ark Rhodes

Rhubarbx1 · 10/09/2023 18:52

Ideally same vibe as Elias. And we pronounce it as you describe.

I'm so bored of googling biblical boys names, I don't like any of them xx

Gabriel
Asher
Caleb

DuchessOfSausage · 10/09/2023 18:09

Does it need to be Hebrew, or does it just need to be of the same sort of vibe as Elias? Do you say Elias as El-eye-as?

Ihaveoflate · 10/09/2023 17:18

My boys name list was Ezra, Solomon or Rafael but they are very popular in my Jewish circles at the moment. I also like Gabriel.
