Hello,
Opinions welcome, thinking about using Evan for a baby girl. What does everyone think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No.

I only see it as a boys name.
It's interesting that there is a trend to call girls names traditionally used for males
There is no similar trend to call boys names traditionally used for girls.

Awful. She'll never forgive you. Evangeline maybe, but not what is considered a boy's name. I've seen first hand the bullying in the classroom of children with 'the wrong sort of name'. I had two children called Sydney in the same class and the girl one had to endure a lot of spiteful remarks whereas the boy had none.

How about Evangeline, nn Evan?

I think it's fine, people might find it odd at first but they'll soon get used to it.

You can, I know of a girl aged five whose name James. I have also known of other girls wth male names like Shawn and Ryan don’t be put off.

I would think that her parents were massive Evan Rachel Woods fans

Silly. Use a girl's name. As silly as using James for a girl.
