We love this name and know v few but I wonder whether others so. If you know them are they in England or is it more an international popularity?

any opinions on the name also welcome.

Mimilamore · 11/09/2023 18:04

Lovely name but doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. Only know of one other who is about 34..

Phos · 11/09/2023 17:53

I don’t really like it sorry! In terms of popularity, I don’t know any personally but think there’s one in DDs school who is in year 4.

DarkSpark · 11/09/2023 17:50

I know one who is 39 and one who is 8. I don't like it sorry, it sounds whiny to me, I think it's the nee sound.

MK19590 · 11/09/2023 17:21

I knew a Nina at school who would be about 25 now

RuthW · 11/09/2023 17:15

I know one, early 20s

Florenceatemycake · 10/09/2023 18:18

LOVE IT. If we have a girl, that's what I'd like to call her.

Member589500 · 10/09/2023 18:11

I’ve always loved it. Simple and classic. I know three; two over 30 and one baby and all of South Asian descent.

wotsitsarelowincalories · 10/09/2023 18:06

I have met two in my life.

Both now in their late 30s- early 40s.

Both brunettes.

One, annoying woman from my then council estate.

The other an intelligent and funny Russian woman with a sister called Anna.

I think the name is fine.

dressedforcomfort · 10/09/2023 18:00

I know 1 and she's in her 40's.

I don't like it as a name though....

lilyblue5 · 06/09/2023 11:43

Very cute name :)

mosiacmaker · 06/09/2023 11:42

I know a Canadian Nina who is late 20s and very cool.

boysmuminherts · 06/09/2023 11:41

Nice name. I know 1 Nina aged 12 in my son's class, parents not British.

SpanielsMatter · 06/09/2023 11:39

2 and both were deeply pleasant people.

I only know 1 Nina under 30 so personally it's not my cup of tea, but if your into more uncommon- old fashioned names then go for it! x

Howtohideasausage · 05/09/2023 21:14

I know 6 aged 11 and under. East London. I like it.

CloseYourMouthLynn · 05/09/2023 21:11

We have a Carina, school age. We call her Nina for short as it's all she could say when she was a toddler. I think it's a lovely name!

CapEBarra · 05/09/2023 20:05

I like it. It passes the Judgey Judgement Test - I.e. if Nina was in a court of law would she be the judge or the defendant? She’d totally be the judge!

astarsheis · 05/09/2023 20:05

I only knew one and she is 29, very pretty with a strong personality...and then I was chatting with a young dad in London yesterday and his little 4 year old was called Nina.

I love the name!

Purplecatshopaholic · 05/09/2023 20:02

Lovely name. My friends 14 year old is Nina.

jays · 05/09/2023 19:58

I don’t know anyone with this name and I absolutely love it!

Qilin · 05/09/2023 19:54

It's not a name I'd chose for my own child, but there's nothing particularly wrong with it either, it's just not my preference.

I have taught one child called Nina. She will be 8 now I think.

Notellinganyone · 05/09/2023 19:50

Love it and don’t know any apart from in books!

peaceinourtime · 05/09/2023 19:30

It’s nice but I think Nia is better.

mathanxiety · 05/09/2023 01:48

I know one, in the US.

Her name suited her much better when she was a wispy ballerina of 10. She's in her late 20s now and is no longer wispy.
