Baby boy name help please

DH and I just can't decide on a name for our baby boy. Surname is Richardson.
DS1 is Dylan.

Four names in the running currently.
Which do you think is best? ☺️

Ivan
Jude
Joseph (My preference, DH not so keen)
Caleb

All lovely names, Jude is my favourite - won’t be abbreviated so consistent and strong sounding! I also like Ivor/Ivan/Ivo, and yes I think you could use Ivo as a nn from those full names.

Caleb - My DS name :)
Jude
Joseph
Ivan

Always loved Jude but I’ve seen a lot of new babies being called that recently. Might not bother you!

I LOVE Jude!! We almost called our son Jude, but his sister's middle name is June so we thought it was too close. Totally would've though, I think its beautiful.

I really like the sound of the name Jude but unfortunately I know a little boy called Jude whose schoolfriends have decided to call him Judy 😆

My favourite is Joseph. Classic but weirdly I think I've only ever met a couple. Caleb is really popular around here if that's an issue but it's a nice name. How about Milo? Otis? Callum?

Please don't call your kids Dylan and Thomas unless you're a particular fan of his poetry (sorry PP!)

My favourite one is Caleb. Because of its meaning. I'll share it with you (In order to you want to know it)
Caleb means "bold and faithful", by its terminology it is interpreted as "impetuous", capable of an instant and effective reaction. We can also find that the meaning of Caleb is a "bold and strong man".

Dylan and Caleb
Ivan is too similar to Dylan
Joseph is good but not if your DH objects to Joe!
Jude is too trendy and of the moment compared to Dylan which is more classic

Caleb, Joseph or Ivan in that order.
However, Jude goes best with Dylan

I like Jude the best,but I noticed on another thread where people told of the names of the most recent babies they know born, that Jude featured alot.

I also really like Caleb and think it sounds lovely with Dylan.

If your partner doesn't like Joseph then I think you need to disregard it, especially since there are 3 other names you agree on.

I like Ivan but dislike having sibling names ending the same. Love Ivor though

My favourites are Joseph and Jude but, as your DH isn't keen on Joseph, definitely Jude. (As you don't say, I'm assuming you both like the other 3 equally?)

Ultimately you have to both agree, so Joseph is probably out I'm afraid.

@cisisaslur Couldn’t have put it better myself - however DH’s main objection to Joseph is ‘Joe’. 😅

@continentallentil Also not so keen on popularity of Jude at the moment, I seem to know quite a few little boys with this name. @Pieceofpurplesky But Dylan and Jude do sound good together don’t they!

@continentallentil Also crossed my mind Ivan and Dylan are very similar. @BrokenMantra I like Ivo, not sure if Ivo could be used as a shortened form of Ivan.

First thought: so many biblical names: Jude, Joseph, Caleb.

I personally like Ivan most on your list followed by Jude.

Joseph is a solid name but overused. I know so many Joseph's and Joes of all ages that I've lost count.

Joseph I love it.
Joe is such a lovely name and suits a baby and a grown man. It's a classic and not too popular that it's everywhere
Goes well with your surname too. Both Joseph and Joe

Great list! My favourite is Joseph (I am completely biased as this is DS's name). I like Ivan and Caleb and Jude is ok.
