I like Nathaniel and Nathan

Araminta34 · 25/08/2023 21:20

It's a great name. I know one and he's lovely.

Jeelypieces20storeys · 25/08/2023 21:19

Bit long for my liking and sounds like parents couldn't decide between Nathan & Daniel.
But ADORE both Nate & NAT so on NN grounds alone, I'd go for it :)

Katjolo · 25/08/2023 21:18

Love

WhatsForTeaMama · 25/08/2023 21:14

It's a no from me just because of when people pronounce the th as f

When my sister says the name it sounds like ne-fani-ole (fanny hole) so I couldn't name a child that 😂

Lindy2 · 25/08/2023 20:59

I like it. Nathan is my preferred version but I still like Nathaniel.

Inmybirthdaysuit · 25/08/2023 20:51

My sons bully in primary school was called Nathaniel, that's the only one I know.

pilates · 25/08/2023 20:49

I like it and Nate is cool

Theoldwoman · 25/08/2023 20:42

I don’t know any, I quite like it, but not a fan of Nathan.

itsgettingweird · 25/08/2023 20:41

I love it.

Also like Nathan and love Nate.

It's one of those names where I live the full version and all the likely nn that derive from it!

I like it with a 1 syllable middle name like

Nathanial James
Nathanial George
Nathanial Jack

Thinkbiglittleone · 25/08/2023 20:36

I love it. It's not used enough in my opinion Grin

drpet49 · 25/08/2023 20:30

I know of 1 who goes by Nathan.

KirstenBlest · 25/08/2023 20:07

Nice but long. Not keen on Nat or Nate.

FutureThroughLensOfThePast · 25/08/2023 20:02

Justlovedogs · 25/08/2023 19:57

Black Adder? 😂

Yes😃Always goes through my head when I hear that name.

"Nathaniel sits on a spike, and I sit on Nathaniel. Two spikes would be an extravagance."

Black Adder? 😂

Nugg · 25/08/2023 19:56

Love. Helps that the 2 I know are cool as!

SequinsandStiIettos · 25/08/2023 19:55

Love Nate

babysharkdoodoodedoodedoo · 25/08/2023 19:55

Love it!

OhLookIveChangedMyNameAgain · 25/08/2023 19:54

Forgot to add, I don’t know anyone with the name. Apart from the character Nate on Emmerdale.

35andThriving · 25/08/2023 19:53

It's really nice.

OhLookIveChangedMyNameAgain · 25/08/2023 19:52

I was going to use this for my son too. I would have called him Nate. It was literally 50:50 spilt between the name we chose for him and this, I still sometimes regret not using it. So it’s a yes from me!

LeeHarper5 · 25/08/2023 19:42

Love it and I really wanted it for my son but we have a long surname so would’ve been a bit of a mouthful. We settled on Nathan and have Nate as a nick name.

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 25/08/2023 19:42

I have one, known as Nate and love it. Not met many others and I love that he can use the shortened or full version when he’s older and both have different vibes.

Marmite27 · 25/08/2023 19:42

DC1 has 2 in her class, DC2 has one. I was at uni with one. It’s quite common in my life. I don’t love it. I also struggle to spell it.
