Variation of Karen for a boy

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and my mum died unexpectedly 4 weeks ago. Her name was Karen and me and husband would LOVE to honour her as our babies middle name but he's a boy.

Does anyone have any ideas how we can make a more masculine version of Karen?

I used my mum's maiden name. It sounds great.

Kanan?

I think Karen is a variant of Catherine, meaning 'pure', so a male name with the same meaning?
I think Karim means noble.

Karen comes from Katherine, so the male version is Kit.

Kit is from Christopher.

Yes, Karl would be perfect. I’m so sorry for your loss

I don't think there is one, sadly.

Second the maiden name idea. My middle name is the feminine version of my DM's maiden name but that doesn't work with all names.

Sorry for your loss. Ken? Or maybe I just enjoyed the Barbie movie too much.

Or did your Mum have a favourite plant (Rowan/Acer or something) that would make you think of her? Or a middle name that has a male form?

KnickerlessParsons · 24/08/2023 20:20

Karl?

Sorry for your loss.

Aaron
Ken
Kevin

Not sure any of them are great names.

Did your mum have a middle name or a maiden name she was attached to?
