Helen / Helena

Why do you want her to sound posh? Assuming you're not or wouldn't have asked. Just call her something you like. Both my DDs names would be fine in Buckingham Palace or shouted across another sort of Estate, you don't know how they're going to turn out! Nothing worse than some lower middle calling their kid Monty.

That Telegraph announcements is hilarious! Faves are Athena Perdita Allegra and Auberon Percival St John.

Names of the most aristocratic women I've known/met:

Elizabeth, Liz
Cassandra
Andy
Frances

Average characters beyond their lineage.

The truly ‘posh’ people I know (dh went to public school) actually have normal names and so do their kids!
Posh people and kids we know:
Rosie
Lexi
Siobhan
Poppy
Daisy
Emily
Aoife
Louisa
Jennifer
Laura

Names that sound posh to me:
Arabella
Jemima
Geneviève
Araminta ‘Minty’
Thisbe
Octavia
Ophelia
Anastasia
Asia
India
Hermia
Hebe
Fennella
Bunty
Florence ‘Flossie’

The key is to have some childish nickname.

Will be a mix of staples such as Sophie, Anna, Charlotte, Katie, mixed with more exotic/less usual names such as Maxima or the like.
