H H Alliteration!

So me and my wife are due soon, and we have only just agreed on a couple of boy names!…

Our favourite being 'Harris' or 'Harrison', paired with Horne as a surname;
So full name would be Harris(son) Frederick Horne.

I prefer Harris as its sharper… but that could be the shortened version?
Also worry about the syllables, and the complete name sounding like Harrisorne / Harrison!?

Can’t decide if it’s clashing, or works? Any advice welcome... Or it’s back to the drawing board!

My first reaction was to laugh. Don't saddle the poor little baby with either.

Harris Horne is a non-starter, sorry.

I quite like Harrison Horne although it does sound like a character from Hilaire Belloc’s Cautionary Tales

Here is the story of Harrison Horne
Who first met his dad on the day he was born.
A precocious young lad, he left the vagina
Crying, “Dad, pleased to me you- how’s things, me old china?”

Yep, the Harris Horne all sort of blends into one and ends up back at Harrison!
Harrison is ok.
Is there really nothing else you like?

To me Harris is a surname and it feels a bit of a daft choice of first name.

Neither Harris nor Harrison, Henry, Harry, they all sound a bit like a 1950s variety act character with dubious humour making jokes halfpenny bits. Horne has got some connotations, best not to amp them up.

Although I’m not a fan of Harris or Harrison, I think they sound absolutely fine together with your surname. I think it may depend a lot on people’s accent though, some people may blend them into one word.

Tbf although it's always in our training and we're supposed to "spot" it doodled on some work....

It's not something I've come across in real life! (Probably as the far right wouldn't be interested in what we deliver)
But now I know its an association though so it's not soemthing I'd choose going forwards.

Yes… somehow the alteration brings out the horniness in Horne, even though I’ve never heard of Harris meaning arse

The surname's not awful, but it's not the easiest.
Roman is a popular boy's name
Aldo is a bit more unusual but in keeping with the -o ending of Hugo
Ryan Orlando is fab
Yannick is a bit unusual
Lorne Horne has a bit of edginess to it.

Our safeguarding/prevent training had us looking for "88" or "HH" as signs of the far right.

I really wouldn't.
