Classic boy names with sweet nicknames?

Looking for a boy name for baby no2 to go with my DS1 Harry! We like classic and timeless names but I would really like something we can shorten/ derive an affectionate nickname from.

I need to go armed as my DH is a teacher and is a nightmare choosing names with as he associates them with every naughty child he’s ever met! 🤣

So far I’ve got:

James - Jimmy/ JJ (he likes this one but I’m not so keen)
Frederick - Freddie (I like Freddie but not Frederick)
Edward or Theo - Ted/ Teddy

Any suggestions? Thank you!

I’ve got a little James / Jimmy. I wasn’t sure to start with but love it now! I think it’s cute, people comment and say it’s sweet (I don’t think they are just being polite!) and there aren’t loads around. He then has the option of James as he grows up too if he wants it.
Also know a Robert / Bertie

My James is a Jim or Jimmy. I always wanted him to be just James but ExH called him Jim from very early on and it stuck. There’s not many little Jims around!

I don't know any boys called Jim! Think it's fab to see it back in use.

I think Theo,Art, Teddy etc are over used.

I'm a teacher too, Theo's are generally nice boys. I have an Alastair based on a similar concept but then have since taught slightly more annoying Alastairs (with various different spellings) so there's no guarantee!

My son is Harry and his little brother is Robert on his birth certificate but always known as Robbie. Robert is great as can shorten to Robbie, Rob, Bobby, Bert or Bertie.

Peter is also a great classic name. Can be Pete/Petey
