I understand why PPs are saying Row me but I reckon Rom ee as it's short for Romilly? (Which is pronounced Rom i lee)

Romy Schneider -> born Rosemarie, it can be used as nickname for other Rom- names such as Romina and Romola.
I would say whatever person wearing that name choose. I like Romilly nn Milly though.

Row (like Row your boat) Me

ridl14 · 06/08/2024 12:44

It's short for Rosemary so Row-mee. In other languages eg. French/German then it's a short o like Rommy.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 06/08/2024 09:15

Roamy

Roe-me, unless you're actually living in a country where they traditionally pronounce it differently.

arlequin · 05/08/2024 21:47

The French O sound is half way between Rom and Roam I would say.

I know a Romy in her mid 30s. She's called Row-mee. My only experience with the name though!
