Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@2chocolateoranges as I said it’s the least popular name on OPs list, Erin is somewhere in the 50s and Molly is 70 something.

I don’t get the love for Erin, I don’t find it nice at all. It was quite popular in the 00s so seems a bit dated now. Molly is the nicest and the least common of your shortlist so if you want something more unusual go for Molly.

I work in early years and even although I like Molly it’s very common.

2chocolateoranges · 26/07/2023 20:06

Erin was on our too 3 girls names too, but just pipped to the post by another name.
quite like Molly too
not a fan of Isla or a grace,

I really like both Molly and Erin.... But I wouldn't use Molly for the drug association

Sandysandwich · 26/07/2023 20:04

Erin

coveredinsick · 26/07/2023 20:02

They're all really lovely names. I was going to call my daughter Grace, but after my mum immediately said (in the labour suite no less than 3 minutes after I'd given birth) "ahh our little Gracie" I changed it. I absolutely despise the name Gracie 😅
Might it be an idea to use Grace as a middle name to one of the other names? I used Grace as a middle name in the end and I'm so glad i did. Molly Grace has a lovely ring to it 😊
Anyway, whatever you choose I'm sure it will sound lovely. Congratulations on the imminent arrival if your little one

DahliaRose · 26/07/2023 20:02

I'd go Grace.

It's classic and a beautiful name.

Isla is lovely but very common and a lot of people spell/pronounce it wrong.

Molly I love however I know soooooo many dogs called Molly (still wouldn't put me off using it)

Erin is also a great name just prefer Grace.

nousername0 · 26/07/2023 20:01

Another vote for Erin!

Adventing · 26/07/2023 19:58

Grace is the most classic imo, all lovely names though

Louoby · 26/07/2023 19:53

Erin or Molly are gorgeous. I know so many Isla's. Grace is very popular too x

DuchessOfSausage · 26/07/2023 19:49

Molly - lovely
Erin - can't see any appeal
Isla - pretty but overused
Grace - nice

SauvignonBlanche · 26/07/2023 19:47

All lovely 😍

  1. Erin
  2. Molly
  3. Grace
  4. Isla
avocadotofu · 26/07/2023 19:46

I really like them all, especially Molly and Grace.

decaffonlypls · 26/07/2023 19:45

All beautiful but I'd say Erin or Isla

Erin is lovely.
Isla is ok.
I know a Grace I dislike and I think it's a lot of pressure on the child to call them things that infer something about character.
Molly is a bit wet. My Brighton cousin tells me that's an insult there, not sure about anywhere else.

Honestly I think how overdone or otherwise a name feels makes up for a huge part of whether people like a name when they hear it. Very few names are objectively awful, it's just associations.

Newbie887 · 26/07/2023 19:40

Molly. Simple and cute.

Cant understand the love for Erin. It sounds like Eric which is pretty awful?!

Liv999 · 26/07/2023 19:33

Grace is beautiful, Isla is OK, Erin and Molly are meh

FKATondelayo · 26/07/2023 19:29

Erin is a lovely name. Not just cos it's less well used. It's feminine but strong, not girly like Molly. It won't date like Isla. It sounds poetic (sorry stereotyping there) but doesn't really have an obvious connotation like Grace (or Molly sadly). It passes the Supreme Court test. And it won't take ages to write out on every form Grin

mintich · 26/07/2023 19:27

Erin by a mile then Grace. Not keen on the other two

purplecheesecat · 26/07/2023 19:26

Erin has my vote!

kjokise · 26/07/2023 19:18

I feel like everyone is saying Erin purely because it's least popular, but it depends if that's important to you?
Isla has started to grate on me loads.
Grace is bland
Molly is really cute

aSofaNearYou · 26/07/2023 19:15

I agree Erin. Isla and Grace are too overused atm for me, and I prefer Erin to Molly, though I don't mind Molly.

Mintearo7 · 26/07/2023 19:01

i order of preference: Erin, Grace, Molly, Isla
