Molly

Erin is the best of the choices, though you could have Margaret with Molly as a diminutive..? Then I'd change my vote.

Hazelnut9 · 26/07/2023 21:36

Molly or Erin

wineschmine · 26/07/2023 21:29

Erin's a funny one.

I agree with a pp that it "barely sounds like a name", and I also associate it with heron.

However, I do actually quite like it, and out of your four it would be my preferred name.

Molly; agree with a pp, very dated and infantile.

Grace; so horribly overused. People seem to think it's incredibly classy for some reason, but it just isn't. I also just don't like the sound, I don't like the hard G.

Isla; have always loved it but the popularity would sadly put me off a lot. It's sudden rise in popularity will mean it dates very quickly (it already sounds dated to me).

Erin gets my vote. I also really like Molly :)

Me too.

Isla and Grace are just too overused atm.

Bobbybobbins · 26/07/2023 21:03

My order of preference:

Erin
Grace
Isla

Molly

KayEmAy · 26/07/2023 20:58

I was going to say I think Erin is really underrated but apparently everyone in this forum agrees! haha

IsThePopeCatholic · 26/07/2023 20:58

Erin if you’re Irish, if not, Isla.

ButtonMoonBlanketSky · 26/07/2023 20:54

Molly 💗

FoodFann · 26/07/2023 20:45

Erin

TropicalTrama · 26/07/2023 20:43

Grace is my favourite. So so many Islas. Erin is a bit 90s and not in a good way. Everyone surely knows Molly is slang for MDMA these days?

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 26/07/2023 20:43

Grace followed by Erin.

Grace was my Best Mates Mum. She was funny, intelligent and strong. Such an amazing Woman.

pinkberet · 26/07/2023 20:41

Erin

FrostieBoabby · 26/07/2023 20:33

I like them all except Molly, that's more of a pets name IMO.

I would choose Isla even though Erin is my favourite as I think that's a bit dated now after being really popular 15 years ago.

xPeaceXx · 26/07/2023 20:32

Can I suggest Merrin?
Molly is too babyish and Erin is too soup.
Isla is ok
Grace is ok but ubiquitous

Derrymum123 · 26/07/2023 20:31

Yoyoban · 26/07/2023 20:04

I really like both Molly and Erin.... But I wouldn't use Molly for the drug association

You what??

continentallentil · 26/07/2023 20:29

Grace - not all that overused as a first name and very nice

Quite like Molly but it’s a bit twee (better as a nn for Mary / Maria / Marianne etc)

Isla is really done to death and Erin is a bit dated and a bit low rent

Olika · 26/07/2023 20:28

Erin

pottyboys · 26/07/2023 20:27

Molly

MantaKay · 26/07/2023 20:26

Erin!
Didn't consider that one for me, I am definitely putting it on my list!

shoopshoopdedoo · 26/07/2023 20:17

They are all nice. My order of preference would be:

Erin
Molly
Grace - like it but I always think virtue names are too much to live up to
Isla - very popular

caringcarer · 26/07/2023 20:14

I like be Molly and Milly too.

Hollyppp · 26/07/2023 20:12
