Rose, Rosa doesn't work, use Rosanna Lee?

Love Rose and Rosa but it doesn't go with surname :(

Would you use Rosanna?

Haven't had a great reaction about Rosanna. I also don't love the "Sanna" part. I would hope that everyone would call her Rose but understand that you can't control nicknames so feel quite stuck :(

Rosalind Lee
Rosalyn Lee

we've considered Rosalyn but just not sure if it would get pronounced how we'd want.

I like Rosa-lin but I think the general consensus is Roz-a-lin

Nothing wrong with it

Similar options

Rozallyn
Marie Rose

Although PP saying primrose is lovely

I'd go with a different flower if you like flower names

gogomoto · 23/07/2023 23:02

No rosie lee is rhyming slang

They will all boil down to Rose Lee = Rosie Lee = tea

Not the worst, but a bit silly sounding. I wouldn't.

would you think that about Rosa Lee?

The gypsy Rose Lee/ tea thing is what is putting us off

What about Primrose? Slightly different but you could still shorten to Rose. I think the Rosy Lee link is slightly less obvious with Primrose.

MagratsDanglyCharms21 · 23/07/2023 23:00

Yep... Rosie Lee...cuppa tea! Rhyming slang

DragonDoor · 23/07/2023 22:59

Rose Lee is fine, as is Rosa Lee (I think that's great actually).
Do not like Rosanna Lee.

Rosanna would be on official documents etc.... but Rose as an everyday nickname

People would just say Rose Lee anyway though, they my not even know her full name. I’d steer clear and go for something different altogether.

If Rose doesn’t go with your surname why are you hoping everyone would call her Rose?

If you want everyone to call her Rose call her Rose

iwasthewalrus · 23/07/2023 22:54

Rosalie and Rosabelle are two alternatives.

If they are both shortened to Rosie or Rose, would this present the same issues with your surname as if you just went with Rose from the outset?

Rosalie?

Surname is Lee.

So Rosalie Lee wouldn't work
