I've always thought of it as very posh but now it's so popular has it become a bit...well... common? As in opposite of posh

So common. Its popularity astounds me. It's such an ugly, greasy name.

Lots of Olivias and Livs around here. So it’s well-used, but I wouldn’t say common.

If you mean common as in frequent then yes. It's a nice enough name but not posh.

biscoffy · 22/07/2023 14:42

It's very popular. Because it's a nice name. Not 'common' in the sense that you're using it, essentially you mean 'down market' or rough. Are you thinking of naming a baby or..?

cuckyplunt · 22/07/2023 14:10

Who cares, it’s a beautiful name

RuthW · 22/07/2023 14:09

It's just a normal name and definition not posh. Very popular still.

It's been in the top ten for over 20 years, and number one in the UK for many of them.

If I threw a stick in the playground I'd probably hit 5 of them.
