Flower names for girls

Hello! I’m new here. Currently expecting our 3rd & final baby. We have two beautiful girls already - Poppy and Bluebell, and have recently found out this baby is a girl too! So we are looking for another flower name to go with Poppy and Bluebell. I’ve always loved Rose, however it I struggle because of the association with Rose West the serial killer (silly I know because the name and the flower are beautiful but I always think of her) Lily is also gorgeous but I already know lots of Lily’s. Any suggestions?
Other option we thought of is going for a jewel name as I’m named after a jewel myself, but ideally would like a flower to go with the other two 😊💜 - Please note, my other 2 girls are already named so I really don’t need to know if you don’t like their names 😹 just looking for ideas on what to call DD3, thanks in advance 🌸🩷 x

Rosa is such a beautiful name if you aren’t sure about Rose (although I would never have associated the name rose with rose west).

Also love the suggestion of Posy, like the little sister ballerina in Ballet Shoes :)

NovemberJones · 21/07/2023 22:28

Zinnia ❤️

I love so many of them though! So many lovely suggestions that I haven’t even thought of.

Go with rose if you like it, dont have name regret!
My dd has a friend Rose, never even thought of Rose West tbh. Now she's at seniors she says there's a Myra in her class, now that I was pretty shocked at.

TheGreyRockess · 21/07/2023 20:24

... Petunia and Zinnia.

TheGreyRockess · 21/07/2023 20:22

Primrose is lovely. It reminds me of The Darling Buds of May tv series.

PumpkinSoup21 · 21/07/2023 20:22

I like the idea of a jewel name as both of the flower names you have used are strongly associated with a particular colour and so are jewel names.
My vote is Emerald.
Underused, beautiful (in my opinion) and can go by Em, Emmie if she wants.

Pressthespacebar · 21/07/2023 20:20

Primrose and Clover are lovely too.

Pressthespacebar · 21/07/2023 20:19

I have a daughter named Posy, I also know an Ivy and an Olive, a poppy and a Rose!

Mummysaf · 21/07/2023 20:17

Well my name is saffron and I like it
I also love primrose and violet x

TheGreyRockess · 21/07/2023 20:15

Florentina Latin-based girls’ name meaning blooming.
The flower known as the iris florentina has white petals.

It could be shortened to Florrie.

Just thought of Florence.

then googled it ...A feminine form of the Roman name Florentius, which was from the Latin word florens, meaning "blossoming, flourishing".
