Flower names for girls

Hello! I’m new here. Currently expecting our 3rd & final baby. We have two beautiful girls already - Poppy and Bluebell, and have recently found out this baby is a girl too! So we are looking for another flower name to go with Poppy and Bluebell. I’ve always loved Rose, however it I struggle because of the association with Rose West the serial killer (silly I know because the name and the flower are beautiful but I always think of her) Lily is also gorgeous but I already know lots of Lily’s. Any suggestions?
Other option we thought of is going for a jewel name as I’m named after a jewel myself, but ideally would like a flower to go with the other two 😊💜 - Please note, my other 2 girls are already named so I really don’t need to know if you don’t like their names 😹 just looking for ideas on what to call DD3, thanks in advance 🌸🩷 x

I know a family with a Bluebell, Poppy and Tiger-Lily. She goes by tiger! It's awesome.

There is only one possible option.

Venus-Flytrap

I would advise against calling a child Lavender, which will inevitably get shortened to Lav or Lavvy, which means you’re basically setting your child up to be called a toilet for the rest of their lives.

Hydrangea
Carnation Lily Rose

Delphine

I'd try to think of a name which would also suit someone as they grow up, become teenagers, middle-aged etc and not just cute young children (just my view obv)

My view, too - I just posted the same. You don't name a baby, you name a person. Avoid anything too cutesy, eg Buttercup.

Bargoed · 22/07/2023 17:02

Lilac

Poppy and Bluebell are two of the primary colours, so you need one connected with yellow. Daffodil? Marigold?

Or just go with Rosa.

Maireas · 22/07/2023 16:58

Daisy is quite common, unless that doesn't bother you?
I like Violet, Zinnia, Marigold and Myrtle. Not in common usage and not too "cutesy", so would suit her as she gets older.

It's got to be Daisy Grin

My DD is Flora - Roman goddess of both flowers and Spring. I loved it when we named her 25 years ago, and still love it now. We also considered Viola.

Grapefruit7 · 22/07/2023 16:50

Primrose is a lovely name

SophieIsHereToday · 22/07/2023 16:44

Juniper

I have a violet it’s my favourite name in the world, so timeless. I also loved Pearl and Posey which would’ve been my 2nd if he was a girl.

Newnamenewname109870 · 22/07/2023 16:17

I know a baby dahlia. It’s gorgeous! Her mum introduces her as dar-Lee-ah so that’s how it’s pronounced.
No big deal!

We have Iris as DDs middle name so I have a soft spot for it.
Lots of fab suggestions on this thread. I think Marigold or Daisy would be perfect with your sibling names
