What do you think of this name and do you pronounce the Ros like rose or roz? Tia

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Rhoslyn? It is a Welsh name though.

Beautiful name and not too popular, As others have said it’s Roz- uh- lind. The OP who says it’s an s sound rather than a Z is wrong! Rosamund is also lovely. You are going to end up with a shortened version in reality so worth thinking about that.

I love it. Shakespeare heroine - gorgeous!

It’s pronounced Roz/alind but I know at least one Rosie who is a Rosalind, so you can use Rose/Rosie for shortenings easily. (I also know a Rosalie who pronounces it Roz/alie so there’s a lot of variation.)

Ros-uh-lind
Ros with the s not said as z.

I adore both Rosalind and Rosamund. Sad that my DH is not on board with either! I would pronounce both with a "Roz".

I also know a Roseanna pronounced "Rose" at the start.

DramaAlpaca · 07/07/2023 23:51

Roz pronunciation.

It's a beautiful name.

randomsabreuse · 07/07/2023 23:50

Roz. Rosalie has the Rose sound, Rosamund is also Roz

Fifthtimelucky · 07/07/2023 23:45

I like it and know two.

I pronounce the first syllable Roz. Neither uses their full name though. One goes by Rosie and one goes by Ros (pronounced Roz)
