My DH and I have 2 daughters, we are now expecting a 3rd child rather unexpectedly and finding names impossible. Alot of the names we love have been used by other relatives or aren't useable. Our girls are -
Emma Felicity Jane Lloyd and Anna Eleanor May Lloyd.
Names we like and can't use are
Lucy (Lucy Lloyd seems a bit much)
Katie (niece)
Sophie (family friends child)
Beth
Alice
Lydia (Lydia Lloyd seems L, Y, D heavy)
We like but don't love Zara and Mary but we could use these (my mum is Mary but would be nice tribute and MILs name is one of the girls middle names already)

Sam (Nephew)
Liam
Daniel
William
Edward
Henry
Lucas
Oscar
Oliver
George
All unusable

We like Harry and James, potentially useable (in the family but not close)

Any ideas? We like more timeless, unlikely to date names and matching them with longer middle names which have good meaning then a family names, ideally the first name is no more than 5 letters, 2 syllables.
Any ideas?

I think
Mary Catherine Faye or Zara Catherine May are perfectly lovely but DH isn't convinced.
James Anthony George is lovely too in my opinion.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dora Mary?

How about Isla or Lila?

AuntMarch · 06/07/2023 20:59

I was going to say Sophie after reading your daughters names, I wouldn't let a family friends child having it stop me either but understand why you might.
Sophie and Emily were my top girls choices, but Emily is too close to Emma to have in the same house I think! (I do love Emma too but that's my best friends name and I wouldn't give her the satisfaction!)

I also quite like Eliza, Aida, Eleanor, Louisa

Boys I love Thomas, Elijah, Ethan, Matthew, Jonathan, James, Nate (nn)

I don't think you should reuse any middle name.

Maria Catherine Faye

Vita Catherine Faye
Grace Catherine Faye
Keira Catherine Faye
Cora Catherine Faye
Rosa Catherine Faye

Emma Anna and Samantha - are my cousins Grin

So that is the only name I can add!

Samantha Lloyd would work?

namechangedtoday23 · 06/07/2023 20:35

I have the same name as one of your daughters and my two sisters both have names on your like but not using list, that’s really tickled me 😁

TheYearOfSmallThings · 06/07/2023 20:35

If it's a boy please call him Otto 🙏

RumDo · 06/07/2023 20:33

Una Mary Catherine Lloyd or
Robyn Olivia Mary Lloyd

James Anthony George Lloyd or
Max Christopher James Lloyd

mathanxiety · 06/07/2023 20:28

You need to ask MN to edit the name Lloyd out of your OP, as well as the middle names. Your children could easily be recognized as the OP stands currently.

kermitloving · 06/07/2023 20:23

Mary or Daniel I think would go with your current names. I particularly love Mary and it never gets used despite it being a classic

100yellowroses · 06/07/2023 20:21

My daughter is Rosa! So obviously I think it's the best name. We get lots of compliments on it. Came here to say Rosa, or perhaps a one syllable name like Rose, Faye as first name, or Maeve

I like the idea of another name ending in a. Fortunately there are lots, so some of them must be usable.

I know a Mora, and I think it’s a lovely name. Also Cara, Ida, Laura, Rosa - all fairly traditional names that go ok with Emma and Anna.

It’s a bit harder to find names ending in a for a boy, but there are some e.g. Luca or Dara.

Oh I do like Rosa, Rosa Catherine Faye Lloyd, I like that!!

Rebecca.

My sisters, cousins, daughter and I already account for a lot of names on your "like" or "already have" list. Rebecca is the main one you are missing!

Theoldwoman · 06/07/2023 13:48

A lot of criteria OP.

I wouldn’t go with another ending in an A sound.
