Critique my girl list please

Baby girl due soon and we're struggling to find names we both like.

DS has a really common name and it is a bit annoying when there is always another boy with his name wherever we go, so we wanted to go more off piste with DD.

So far, names we both agree have potential include:

Chloe
Amelie
Tamia
Sierra
Niamh (one parent is Irish)
Aoife
Eloise
Gabriella

Any thoughts?

Just on to say that my niece is Chloe - 21 this month- and my sister hates the fact that there's so bloody many of them around. I think she thought she was being classic but on trend at the time. Like PP said it was over-used 20 years ago and I've taught hundreds over the years. Still some now (secondary), so rather popular still.

Gabrielle/ Gabriella- shortened to Bella?
Eloise is beautiful.
Is Tamia made up? Not keen.
Niamh / Aoife both traditional and lovely. You wouldn't consider more unusual Irish names? I think it's lovely to reflect heritage.

Amelie will be one of lots of Amelia/Emily/Amelie/Emilia/Emmeline etc
It seems every other girl is an Ellie or an Evie
Lily/Lila/lola/Luna names are very popular
Mia/Maia/Maya/May/Maeve type names are very popular

I love Eloise and Niamh. There was a thread the other day about names and someone mentioned Elodie, which is BEAUTIFUL and similar to your list?

Eloise, Chloe and Niamh are nice names. Of those, Eloise is my favourite.

I'm a bit surprised to hear some of the names are dated, as to me they all sound quite fresh. Very useful feedback as I have a 'dated' name and I wouldn't want to lumber my girl with one.

I do prefer Tamsin to Tamia but DH has said no unfortunately.
I like that with Tamia we could use 'Mia' as a nickname. Mia as a name by itself is a bit too popular for my liking.

Sierra - 1980s Ford family saloon. Doesn't it mean mountain range? No

Eloise - pretty but a bit of a mouthful, will be Ellie

Thanks! I do actually love Giselle but am not keen on the 'Jizz' sound at the start of the name. I can only imagine the taunts from teenage boys when she's older : /
Granted, I may be over thinking that one.

I like Eloise, Gabriella and Chloe. But both Gabriella and Chloe are little dated, while Ellie as nickname is trendy. How about Giselle?
