Jasmine or Hazel are okay

seraph · 09/07/2023 18:34

I have a Rowena Violet , and an Esme Lily! I like the slightly different names but I have a hard name and have had many years of hard work with people not spelling or pronouncing it properly !

Stressedoutmammy · 07/07/2023 06:43

My DD is Jasmine, she gets called Jaz, Jazzy and even Minnie (her own doing) but I’m ok with that as I always shorten names. Other names I liked are;
Phoebe
Ivy
Cassie
beau
sadie
Although to be honest I struggled with girls names, have a whole bank of boys names!

MamblingOn · 06/07/2023 23:04

Gwenllian

Favourite definitely Hazel

Hazel - really pretty
Lowri - wouldn’t know how to pronounce

Sabrina - ok
Arwen - nice sound but made up by Tolkien
Ariadne - lovely sound
Rowan - boys name to me
Rowenna - don’t like
Merryn - ok
Jasmine - quite nice
Fern - ok

I love Hazel and have totally pinched it for girls option. Goes well with my 3 year olds boy name xx

sugarapplelane · 06/07/2023 13:30

I love Arwen. If you are a LOTR fan then you could use Eowyn also.
pronounced Aowen
i live Ariadne too as a fan of Greek names. Alternatives are Persephone, Penelope, Hermione, Artemis, Hermia

Namesnamesnames145 · 06/07/2023 12:32

Hazel - too 60-70 year old lady.
Lowri - no
Lois - family guy
Sabrina- teenage witch
Arwen - I always thought this was a boys name, probably totally wrong about that lol
Ariadne - it’s cute, I like
Rowan - if it’s said row as in argument rather than row row row your boat, I like.
Rowenna - Rowena is much better
Merryn- I like this
Jasmine - too Disney princess
Fern - I love this.

what about
morven
morgan
rohanne

wendyjoy · 06/07/2023 11:33

My Grandson is called Rowan ( don't think it would suit a girl).
