Hey, so we are Greek living in the Uk and expecting our DS2 in a couple of months.

He will be named after my dad, which is a BIG tradition in Greece (DS1 was named after my DH dad).

My dad is called Aristarchos which I appreciate is a bit of a mouthful and not universal and quite difficult for non British people…

So, we are thinking of introducing him as “Ari” which is a fine nn in Greece and , although I haven’t met any in the Uk, I hope it will go well?

Opinions please?

Ari will be fine in the UK, I've met a handful both as nicknames and as full names. The only downside to it is people often initially misheard it as Harry.
