Expecting twins boys on 23June. My husband is obsessed with matching names. I am more flexible but to be honest I'd rather not.

My favourites are
Sebastian and Dorian
Florian and Tristian

My husband's
Jayden and Jaylen
Nick and Nico

Definitely do not match!

Purplesquare8 · 20/06/2023 18:44

No definitely not matching! I have identical twins and I’m so glad we gave them individual names. I cringe when I meet twins with rhyming/ matching names.

Why would it be a windup????

God no, they're awful (husbands suggestions). Let the children have some individuality. Will he insist on identical outfits too so the poor things think they're clones of each other?

One wonders what happens when people/peers start to shorten the chosen names, because Jayden and Jaylen would both be Jay.

TequilaQueen · 20/06/2023 18:44

Definite no to your husband's names.

I like matchy names too a certain degree but that’s way too matchy.

Pamalot · 20/06/2023 18:43
