Can't decide if timeless and classic or a bit too twee (or whether rose just too popular for a middle name)?

Alice and Rose are both nice names but together I just don’t think they flow too well, not sure why but Alice Rosa does sound better and a tad more interesting.

Love Iris though! And I don’t personally think Marigold is too out there though I do prefer Iris overall @doggyadvicepls

How about:
Iris Albertine (Albertine is a type of rose) 🌹

It is very popular and timeless, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Also, although I've known lots of people with Rose as a middle name, I don't think I've ever known an Alice Rose. It may be a combination that isn't as much used as you think.

If you did want to make one of the names a bit more unusual, my favourite name in the whole "Rose family" is Rosalie. How do you fee about Alice Rosalie?

I would go for a longer middle name:

Alice Elizabeth
Alice Catherine
Alice Isabella
Alice Charlotte

It’s lovely! I don’t think you have to pick something more daring. Rose is very popular as a middle name, but it’s because it’s really nice. I do quite like Alice Marigold though…

No I don’t think Alice Iris works sadly, too many repeated sounds.

Love Iris though, and I think you’d just about get away with Iris Alice.

No one will use the middle name so if you want her to be Alice Rose you would need to hyphenate it.

Either Alice orAlice-Rose are both lovely names

Alice is lovely but I think the fact that Rose is such a filler middle name makes the whole nane a little bland. I am a fan of unexpected middle names though.

Alice Rosa or Alice Rosalind would be a nice but similar alternative

Agree rose is v.popular, although pretty.

I have always loved the name iris for a middle name but it doesn't go well at all with Alice does it?

Pick a different middle name.

The initials might not work with a surname like Simpson-Elliot.

I love Alice but less keen on Rose and I find it quite hard to say them together because of “s” sounds being different.
