Margaret (or versions of) means Pearl so might be a bit weird

I didn’t realise 😂 yeah definitely don’t call them Pearl and the equivalent of Pearl…

Tess is lovely and I like the literary vibe. Scarlett is one of my favourite names too, but that might be overkill!

this is amazing! thank you all so much :) some of these were on our list from baby 1, which shows how good you all are at getting the right vibe. Personally, I'm leaning toward Tess...i like single syllable and the literary reference matches Pearl (from A Scarlet Letter).

Olive was my first thought. I’d avoid any other jewel type names as it’s a bit matchy matchy.

I know 2 sisters called Olive and Pearl. Where l live, Pearl is pronounced Pell - shame cos l think the spoils it.

I would say Ruby or Violet

dontdarepokethebear · 18/06/2023 18:28

I'd avoid precious or semi-precious stone names, which would be far too matchy.

Nature names might go well:
Seren
Eden
Daphne
Sylvie
Iris
Flora
Laurel
Willow
Hazel
Cecily
Estelle

Pearl and Miriam
Pearl and Anthea
Pearl and Una
Pearl and Meredith
Pearl and Allegra
Pearl and Tessa
