Identical Twin Boys

KIWI2023 · 16/06/2023 19:50

Hello all!

Currently 17 weeks pregnant with identical twin boys and struggling on the names front.

We have decided on Luca (we love it but understand names are personal preference) for one of them but the second we cannot decide.

I like:
-Mason
-Freddie
-Charlie

Husband likes:
-Hugo
-Oscar
-Noah

We want something not too common but also not too out there and have a two syllable surname.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !! 😊

I wouldn’t go with two names starting with the same sound / letter! I know twins like that and it sounds a bit “twee” !

StrawberryWasp · 22/06/2023 13:02

Luca and Marcus
Luca and Gregory

uncomfortablydumb53 · 22/06/2023 12:57

Luca and Rowan
Luca and Ellis

KirstenBlest · 22/06/2023 12:26

I wouldn't use Noah or Theo because they are extremely popular and he'll be 'Noah twin' while his brother will probably be 'Luca'

heartofglass23 · 22/06/2023 09:53

I prefer Noah

Mason- kardashian
Freddie - Fred West
-Charlie - king

Longdarkcloud · 18/06/2023 22:51

Hugo is nice and punchy like Luca so it matches it well. Also both names have become popular only relatively recently so both feel contemporary

Dazedandbemused0 · 18/06/2023 12:11

I only like Oscar and Hugo and think they sound best together. I know a few kids and dogs called Luca and I dont like it much. I also know about a million boys with each of your names so if you don’t want anything too popular it’s best not to go with them. I think Oscar and Hugo and classiest.

Hollyppp · 17/06/2023 22:47

Love Luca and Oscar together :)

KirstenBlest · 17/06/2023 11:11

Name the second baby, so that they'll be Bob and Luca not Luca and Bob - easier to say.

justanothermanicmonday1 · 17/06/2023 11:01

Luca & Leo
Luca & Marcus
Luca & Jonah
Luca & Archie
Luca & Zack/Zachary
Luca & Nico

OopsieeDaisy · 17/06/2023 11:00

Agree with a previous comment I wouldn’t go for two names ending in an ‘ah’ sound, so although I love Oscar, I’d go for Charlie out of the ones you’ve listed.

canigetitmyself · 17/06/2023 08:59

Please god not mason. The others are nicr

Mumofgirls2017 · 17/06/2023 08:38

When I saw Luca I thought Isaac. Noah is in the same genre, but I'd not have two "a" sounding names together.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 16/06/2023 21:01

Prefer your dH choices with Hugo being my favourite

jojo2202 · 16/06/2023 20:51

always said i'd call twin boys ronnie and reggie

KirstenBlest · 16/06/2023 20:51

I like:
-Mason - don't like it. OK as a surname but too close to May otherwise
-Freddie - ok
-Charlie - like

Husband likes:
-Hugo - like but too trendy
-Oscar - ok
-Noah - far too popular. No

I'd go for a different sounding name, and I'd name the younger child Luca.
Luca and Noah - they're a bit too rhymey
Luca and Hugo a bit too of the moment.

Not keen on Luca, sorry. There are lots of boys named Luca or Lucas and various spellings

From your list I'd go with Freddie and Charlie, or Hugo and Charlie, or Oscar and Charlie
