Is Calvin better? DP prefers one and I prefer the other.
They are very different style names to me and I prefer old man names

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like both but due to familiar Frank just has the edge for me.

No to Calvin. Yes to Frank, Frankie or Francis. Don't like Calvin, at all.

Frank is a great name, I know a toddler Frank and it suits him well.

Calvin is, as you said, quite a different style…

Calvin is 100x better. Frank is such a harsh ugly name. I can't imagine inflicting it upon a lovely newborn.

Around 1992 I was friends with a police officer who called his baby son Frank on the grounds that no one messes with a Frank! At the time, Frank Bruno was well known, maybe that inspired him too.

I like Frank. It’s actually quite popular where I am. A Frank Frankie and Francis in DC’s year.

Frank is a great name, and Frankie is cute for a little one if you wanted. Calvin is.. not so good.

Flamingnorahs · 16/06/2023 11:29

Frank yes, Calvin no.
