Help, I'm going mad and time is ticking away! 😅 What do you think of this shortlist..?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FullOfBiscuit · 09/06/2023 10:12

Ivo or Caspar I'd say, although I'd spell it with a K, it looks nicer.
Too many Reuben's about at the moment.

I have one, I quite like another, and the other 3 have negative appeal. Sorry!

Please not Ivo, if I must be specific.

"If I must be specific"?! There is literally no point in posting if you're not going to specify at least one name that you like or dislike! It would be helpful if you'd said which of the others you like and dislike, but hey, I guess OP should be grateful for "not Ivo" Grin

Caspar or Nicholas for me.

I like Ivor more than Ivo.
Tristan and Reuben are nice names too.

Oh and Reuben I actively dislike for some reason. It feels clunky and ugly. Like a middle aged man's name or something.

overitunderit · 09/06/2023 07:45

Caspar or Ivo. I love them both. Tristan is a bit wet for me. Nicholas is meh.

greglet · 09/06/2023 07:42

Caspar or Ivo!

BluesandClues · 09/06/2023 06:51

I love the name Casper.

Jaffajiffy · 09/06/2023 06:41

Some considerations:
Caspar and Reuben will rarely be spelled right. We have a Reuben and we get Rueben, reuban, Ruben all the time. Friends have Kasper, Casper, etc.
Tristan sounds posh
Ivo: pronunciation confusion with eyevo vs eevo.
Reuben also gets “Pooben” or “poo” at school 😩
But I love my little Roo. He’s not naughty but definitely sneakier than his brother. 😎

Getabloominmoveon · 09/06/2023 06:12

My son is Caspar, so I think it’s a great name, but of course has ghost connotations. I know a little Reuben and and loads of Ivo s but only in Holland.
Tristan is a bit poncy in my opinion, also sounds sad to me, like the French ‘triste’.

Orphlids · 09/06/2023 03:47

Little Reubens are absolutely everywhere. I like Caspar, and I think Nicholas is rather good, but Tristan is my favourite - so wonderfully romantic!

SkaneTos · 08/06/2023 23:09

Great names, all of them!
I know a very nice man named Ivo, he is in his 70s.

WhisperingAutistic · 08/06/2023 23:07

Tristan is my favourite

Marsyas · 08/06/2023 23:01

Ivo

mayorofcasterbridge · 08/06/2023 23:00

I love Reuben! None of the others, sorry!

Sparkleshine21 · 08/06/2023 22:58

My mum was a headteacher and she said Reuben’s are always naughty 😂

shoopshoopdedoo · 08/06/2023 22:53

Nicholas is nice
Possibly Reuben
Not keen on the others, especially Caspar

jannier · 08/06/2023 21:33

Reuben

17caterpillars1mouse · 08/06/2023 21:23

Love Ivo assuming it's pronounced Eye-vo?

I also really like Tristan

Not keen on Caspar at all

GoalShooter · 08/06/2023 21:21

My favourites are Nicholas and Tristan.

NameChange30 · 08/06/2023 21:21

Ivo! Love it.
also like Reuben.
less keen on the other two.

semideponent · 08/06/2023 21:13

Apart from Reuben it sounds like a roll call for the Bullingdon Club.

(Although I actually quite like Nicholas).

Potatomashed · 08/06/2023 21:08

Caspar or Rueben

PickledScrump · 08/06/2023 21:07

Love Reuben and Tristan

JimJamJo · 08/06/2023 21:02

I like all of them
