Could be Nicolas or straight Nico. Mainly worried about posh/pretentious…

I'd think that you or the baby's father had Italian roots!

Pumpkinlady · 27/06/2023 19:48

Love it, can't use it though. I would think of the F1 drivers, also Neko pronounced nee ko is Japanese for cat

Raizelrea · 14/06/2023 01:40

The one I know is Italian - short for Niccolo/Nicolo. That said lots of Italian girl names are currently popular and used without the family necessarily having an Italian heritage, so I don't see why that couldn't be the case for a boys' name too.

It would make me think that someone loved Velvet Underground

Fun and smart

I really like it, but short for Nicholas not stand alone

ThatshallotBaby · 09/06/2023 21:41

Love Nico.

Festivemoose · 09/06/2023 20:18

I’m Italian but my first thought would be that the parents went to art school and listen to the velvet underground

LOL, they wish!

Vicliz24 · 09/06/2023 20:41

The Velvet Underground

bellsandwhistles333 · 09/06/2023 20:31

Love the name I knew twins Nico and Giuseppe (Pepe)
Not Italian at all but there parents worked there for a few years and loved the country and culture etc

MissHavershamReturns · 09/06/2023 20:19

Girl, velvet underground

(Google A for Adley)

Mmhmmn · 09/06/2023 09:18

Prefer Nick to Nico

Megifer · 09/06/2023 09:17

Steven Seagal.

NeverThatSerious · 09/06/2023 09:13

Nicholas with the nn Nico was on our list for DS, I loved it, DH wasn’t convinced. I wouldn’t use Nico as a standalone name tho personally. It’s nice, a good solid name imo.

Persiana · 09/06/2023 09:10

Greek heritage probably

familyissues12345 · 09/06/2023 07:53

I like it! Reminds me of F1

orangeclubsarebest · 09/06/2023 07:32

Nico Hulkenburg

Also my dog 😂

KellyanneConway · 09/06/2023 07:28

I’d think Greek heritage. Niko / Nico is a nickname for Nikos and very common in Greece. My friend’s Greek child is Nikos/ Niko and about 10 of their relatives

LawnmowerBlues · 09/06/2023 06:57

Would make me think "I wonder where they are from, what kind of name is that again, it is a foreign one right? Or maybe it isn't?? argh I can't keep up".

Whatt · 09/06/2023 06:56

Italian boy

CrazyArmadilloLady · 09/06/2023 06:54

I wouldn’t assume you had any specific ancestry, I’d just assume you like very ‘current’, popular names.

Not a fan of Nico, unless you are actually Italian or Greek.

Much prefer Nicholas / Nick.

KetoQueen · 09/06/2023 06:50

Nico is lovely
