I love Rowan and Ruby but both quite common.

Also luke Rueben, Roman, Rosa and Romy but can't use them.

Would love any suggestions!

My 16 year old nephew is called Roland, which I think is a lovely name. His mates all call him Ro, which is a nice nickname for a little kid and a teenager.

All Ro names merge a bit for me as Rory, Ronnie, Roman etc are all top 100 and trendy / still rising.
if you're wanting a name with a more unusual feel I'd avoid "Ro" names especially with boys
For a girl though there are maybe some more options like Roxanne/ Roxana that are nice and a bit different @pppoll
