A twin for identical Joseph?

TheGhostOfBarryFairbrother · 03/06/2023 18:09

Identical boys, Joseph for one, no idea for his twin!

Gabriel, Benjamin (got a brother called Benjamin so potentially odd.

Something slightly Biblical? No idea?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I would definitely avoid another J name.

Of the names listed so far, I like Nathaniel, Daniel, Gabriel, and Samuel (just realised I seem to have a thing for names that end -el haha).

Did you miss the part where OP says her twins have an older brother called Benjamin?

I thought OP meant that she had a brother called Benjamin

MooseBreath · 04/06/2023 08:30

Reuben or Levi

Joseph doesnt have to become Joe or Joey, both of which are horrible.
Our Joseph is 21 and still Joseph. No abbreviations. He doesnt have any brothers but if he did they might be:
James
Simon
Guy
Patrick
Gabriel
Matthew
Laurence
Dominic

Why are they horrible? Maybe not names you love yourself but to say they're horrible is really judgy. I'm not a big fan of the name Joseph but I wouldn't dream of calling it horrible.

DancedByTheLightOfTheMoon · 03/06/2023 22:37

Jacob

itstrue · 03/06/2023 22:36

I've got id twins. My only suggestion
Is if possible make sure your names sound good if it's said x + y and y + x because ours sound much more right one way than the other so one child is always called first which is annoying to the one who is always called second

Toottooot · 03/06/2023 22:33

Jimmer.

TrustPenguins · 03/06/2023 22:28

Daniel was my first thought.

Love Nathaniel too.

ThePoshUns · 03/06/2023 22:26

Matthew

Flipflops123 · 03/06/2023 22:23

My Joseph isn’t Joe or Joey or Seph or Joseph or Pepe but another shortening 😂 have met 3 other little ones with the same shortening lately, and there are at least 2 famous people who go by it too. Yet the amount of odd responses it gets on here and IRL leads me to not reveal it… although I’m sure you can guess!

Please share !

Joseph and Daniel

midsomermurderess · 03/06/2023 21:50

Joseph could also be Sepp. If you chose that.

The Op wrote she has a brother herself called Benjamin... or at least that's how I read it!

I did too. It would hardly be 'potentially odd' to us the same name for siblings!

Conrad

Actually I would go for Christopher and shorten to Joe and Kit. Love Joseph, but only managed to get it as a middle name for one of ours.

Did you miss the part where OP says her twins have an older brother called Benjamin?

I read it as being the OPs brother. It used to be common to use uncles and aunts names.

80skid · 03/06/2023 20:50

My advice would be to stay away from another J name so they have different initials. Much easier when people are identified by initials! Lovely band choice btw. I'm sure you'll think of something that he'll grow into and youll not bd able to imagine him being anything else!
Many congratulations too, I wish you an uncomplicated rest of pregnancy and delivery

Theodore?
Joey and Theo sounds so cute a a twin set

Twins get pretty tired being seen as " so cute" long before they reach puberty.

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/06/2023 20:47

Joseph and…..

Isaac
Samuel
Daniel
Zachary
Thomas
Luke
Michael
Matthew
Nathan
Christopher
Peter
Nicholas
Adam
Noah
William
Edward
Henry
Oliver

Alexander

I love the name Joseph (I have a Józef😀) and I also love the name Gabriel!
Joe and Gabe 😍

If you are looking for some biblical inspiration then I think it has to be Joseph and Benjamin. After all Joseph had 11 brothers, the only 'full' brother was, yup you guessed it...Benjamin!

2bazookas · 03/06/2023 20:44

I'd give them names with a different number of syllables and don't give the second, a name beginning J. Avoid pairs of names that sound cute on toddlers.
One day they will be 39, and not cute.

That way they will have different initials and less likelihood of confusion in adult life and bureaucracy.
