I’m very newly pregnant so this is probably tempting fate but I would love opinions on my current girls list and any suggestions based on it - for both girls and boys.
Harriet
Eliana
Matilda
Felicity
India
Imogen
Iris
Olive
Jemima
Erin
Lucy

The only one I don’t like is Olive.

Love Felicity & Imogen.

Harriet Jane
Lucy Matilda
Jamima Rose
Felicity Iris
Lloyd William
Charles Henry
Raphael Leon

FloofCloud · 31/05/2023 05:32

Eliana, although I prefer it starting with an I, Illiana,

Pemba · 31/05/2023 04:17

Eloise, Imogen and Lucy are just lovely, I also like Harriet and Jemima.

Olive is not attractive as a name.(I know it seems to be becoming popular, well sometimes odd things are in fashion). I do like Olivia though, which has a very different vibe somehow.

OnMyJourney · 31/05/2023 03:36

I love all of those names great choice! But my DH wouldn't go for any of them he's so picky!
My girls names would be
Amelia
Phoebe
Eloise
Hayley
Rosie
Millie
Penelope (penny)
Isabella (izzy)

Londonlady1423 · 30/05/2023 21:03

We have a similar list of names, I ended up going with Lucy which suits my DD perfectly although I've noticed quite a few around so it's quite popular where I am.
I also like Erin, Iris and Matilda on your list.

Other names I had which you might like are Rose, Julia, Anna, Hannah, Flora, Sarah, Kate, Nora, Edith

golddustwomen · 30/05/2023 18:25

I love Erin!

JessRose23 · 30/05/2023 18:21

I love love love Harriet Olive 🤍

RainbowFish4 · 30/05/2023 17:42

Harriet - like, and very classic, don’t think it’s likely to date
Eliana - pretty and has some nice nickname options
Matilda - love
Felicity - not my personal taste, and I don’t love Flick or Fliss as nicknames
India - pretty and I like Indie as a nickname, but it always sticks with me that Katie Hopkins called her daughter this before criticising people who named their children after places, and it puts me off (quite niche though!)
Imogen - like, but prefer Immy to Imo
Iris - quite like
Olive - don’t love this, I prefer Olivia even though very popular
Jemima - love
Erin - love
Lucy - my favourite of this list, classic and pretty but doesn’t seem to ever get overdone

MillieFTM · 30/05/2023 17:01

We actually go for Tilda as nn for her

DemBonesDemBones · 30/05/2023 16:41

I really like them all except Eliana which just sounds so awful in every accent I can think of.

ourflagmeansdeath · 30/05/2023 15:40

Harriet - Never liked this
Eliana - It is pretty but feel like it'd get misspelled a lot
Matilda - Nice but quite popular
Felicity - Not for me, it sounds fairylike but not in a good way
India - It's pretty but I feel like the country thing would be a bit weird tbh
Imogen - This is nice, I love Immy
Iris - Lovely name
Olive - Not for me, I hate the food so it doesn't make sense for a name to me
Jemima - Gorgeous even with the duck!!
Erin - It's nice enough but a bit plain
Lucy - Lovely

Favourites are Jemima or Lucy. 😊 Eloise is gorgeous too by the way as you've added it to your list

Sofiatheworst · 30/05/2023 10:24

Thank you for all your responses. And the congratulations 🥰

@Hollyppp ah yes, Jem would not be my preferred nn.
@MillieFTM lovely name! Does your Matilda get tilly a lot?
@Leapintothelightning and @Mumofgirls2017 you've both suggested Eloise which is spot on and I’m adding it to my list.

Love the suggestions of Henry, Stanley, Angus and Wilfred.

Jemima - sweet on a little one but quite twee for a adult
Erin - too 90s
Lucy - ok, bit twee

Harriet - like it a lot
Eliana - nothingy but long and blends into all the Ellie/Ella names

Felicity - ok but long
India - not ok
Imogen - ok but long
Iris - ok, nice flower
Olive - no
Jemima - nice but long
Erin - don't like it
Lucy - like, but L names very popular

I'd pick Harriet, I like that it's not fussy and Hattie is great too.
