We want our names as middle name for baby, but my name is awful.

We finally agreed on a name for our future daughter. We let go of the parents/relatives names. And I am happy about it. His name's girl version is beautiful but mine is awful. I don't even tell people, I use my middle name.

I was thinking maybe we could use an alternative. Do you know any name that sounds like Karen ? I was thinking of Kerry. But I'd love to hear about more options.

I agree with others who think this is strange. I don’t understand why you can’t use the name you’re known as but can choose a name similar to your first name which isn’t your name. Karen and Kerry are so different. It’s silly.

What about using a 'C' s in 'Ceri' - sort of Welsh or Irish I understand. 'Karen' can't be used these days. You know it is used for a stupid entitled woman?

I use the name Karen every day given that it is my name that my parents gave me. It is ridiculous that people use a woman's name to describe a 'stupid entitled woman' when b%£ch is so readily available 🤷‍♀️ x

This sounds weird.
Why are you using your names as middle names?
Why does your DH want to do this? Particularly when one of you hates your own name.
All of this sounds ridiculous.

Just use his name, or use a play on your surname. Or something else completely! That all said I like Karina, Karine, katja; or you could use Caron as an alt spelling of karen?!

My Nana passed away while I was pregnant with my daughter, we wanted to name DD after her, but she HATED her name, so we just chose her middle name. It's still after Nana, but not in a way that would make her haunt me 😆

I really don't see why your husband is so insistent on it being your first name only, more so given that you don't even go by your first name.

Is there a way you can find a name that joins a few letters from your names together Karis for instance. Karen & Chris? I just choose middle names I liked rather than family names.
