Name for Baby girl

I really love the name Tyler for a girl, but dh thinks its chavvy.
I don't really care and am determined to talk him round, just wondered what the general consensus was

i read a book at school think it was called ' the turbulant term of Tyke Tyler', she was a girl. i know this offers no advice, just thought id mention it

I liked Taylor for DD2 but thought the same thing (sorry Mums of Taylors) now I have a Talia which is actually an old biblical name and suits her to a T.

Agree Tyler is more commonly a boys name - don't think it is chavvy tho... How about Tyra or Tyla?

Must admit two of the poshest girls (my age 30s) I know are called Sharon and Tracy, both went to a top public school. Both hated their names and the connotations and the combination of both of them. Everyone else thought it was hilarious. Both lovely and very popular, not sure if that was due to, unrelated to or inspite of names!

But an instant reaction can be changed can't it? I mean, names become irrelevant once you get to know someone, don't you think?
I think teachers will love being proved wrong.
