Came across this and wondered what people's general opinions of it were?

OP posts:

I love it! It was my favourite girls name but we named out DS Theo and I think it’s too similar sounding so will like not use it! 😢

FayCarew · 17/05/2023 19:25

It's OK but doesn't roll off the tongue that well. Thea is too popular, I think.

Iguanainanigloo · 17/05/2023 19:18

Also, her nn is "Elfy" which is really cute!

Iguanainanigloo · 17/05/2023 19:16

I know an Elphia. Same sort of sound, but doesn't look like Anthea spelt wrong. Would that be an option?

GoodVibesHere · 17/05/2023 19:16

It's kinda cumbersome. I'd go with either Anthea, or Athena

2reefsin30knots · 17/05/2023 19:09

If I heard you say it I'd think it was Anthea.

Alethea is prettier I think.

I think of the quiz in Friends and it's the name of Monica & Ross's grandmother. But definitely an old lady name and not one of the nicer ones. It's a no from me.

Isn’t it a Seat car?
I think it sounds like you’ve got a lisp. I’m not a fan.

We know an Althea, nn Leafy. I always thought it was a bit classics teacher gone rogue, although we love her so love her name.

Sorry I don't like it
