Sister for Stella?

Spottypineapple · 13/05/2023 08:30

So far...

Antonia (Toni when older) (this has family connections)
Zoe
Isobel

I also liked Willa and Hedda when having DD but don't think I can use these with Stella, and think I would prefer something not ending in the 'ah' sound to go with Stella.

Help!

Love Stella

Antonia/Toni and Zoe are both great eith Stella.
I was going to suggest Chloe or Cleo

PickledScrump · 13/05/2023 16:50

I would avoid Antonia or any “A” names as together they sound a little too close to Stella Artois. Out of your other two I’d go Isabel

Ellmau · 13/05/2023 15:48

Antonia, I think, with Zoe second.

ourflagmeansdeath · 13/05/2023 15:10

Zoe - it goes really nicely with Stella and it's a nice name too. I also think Antonia is absolutely beautiful with Stella, especially with the family connections. Stella and Toni seems good too even though I don't necessarily like Toni for a nickname.

Although Isobel is so lovely I would no go for it due to Stella+Bella thing - she may want to be a Bella when older and it'd be a shame if she couldn't because of her sister's name!

Stella and Willa is definitely too similar sounding and Hedda I don't like.

BubziOwl · 13/05/2023 13:11

Love love love Antonia!

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 13/05/2023 13:08

Stella and Stevie I think.

Astra

FayCarew · 13/05/2023 13:07

Stella and Astrid are nice but a bit starry together. Antonia would be a great middle name.
I think DD2 needs quite a sassy name - the vowelly ones seem a bit weak in comparison to Stella

Pearfacebananapoop · 13/05/2023 13:01

Stella & Dot.... oh no that was a jewellery brand!

A short name would be good though.

Astrid was my first thought.

I have a 1 year old Zoë and know 2 others born the same month, it’s rising I’m sure!

Theoldwoman · 13/05/2023 11:30

Stella to me is a strong regal name.

With it, I like:

Stella and Juliet
Stella and Lucille
Stella and Annabel
Stella and Genevieve

Candymay · 13/05/2023 11:30

I absolutely love the name Stella. I would have Stella and Clementine if I could

FayCarew · 13/05/2023 11:28

Antonia is nice but I don't like Toni (I like Tony for a boy). You could shorten Antonia to Annie, which is nice.

I live Stella and Zoe, but not Willa. Not sure about Hedda - too associated with a fictional character. Isobel is ok but there are a lot of Isabelles, Isabels and Isabellas around. I like Astrid.

Luredbyapomegranate · 13/05/2023 09:12

Zoe Antonia - v nice

Zoe is pretty and punchy like Stella, and Toni is just not good

Lois
Robin
Jocelyn
Astrid
June (if she’s due then)
Juno
Cleo / Clio
Carys
Caitlin
Catrin
Marianne
Genevieve (the English Genna-veeve pronunciation)

Zoë and Stella are great together

NurseCranesRolodex · 13/05/2023 08:38

Astrid

Spottypineapple · 13/05/2023 08:37

Thanks, I think Stella and Zoe sound great together too. Agree I don't want Isobel becoming Bella! Stella and Bella 😂

I like Isobel but she might get called Bella and that doesn't go. How about Imogen?
