Help French boys name!

Pregnant with no. 2, hubbie is French but we live in the UK. 1st child has an unusual Celtic name and this time would like to choose a French name but struggling! Needs to be fairly easy to say/spell in both languages. Wouldn’t probably go for a very traditional French name.

Top choice at the moment is Artus, like the nicknames Art and Artie. Would be pronounced quite differently in French and English, does it sound ok in English?

Xavier is a lovely name, means enlightened.

Rémy and Didier are both old-fashioned.
Étienne not quite so much.
Artus is very unusual. I have taught thousands of French pupils and never come across one.

I love Etienne too! Also vetoed it would be much easier if was only me choosing the name 😂

I’ve pointed this out to DH but he seems ok that everyone here would say Lee-on not Leh-on!

I think that the accent in Léon will be a problem in the UK. Does the pronunciation Lee-on make your teeth itch as a person who speaks French ? I'm guessing it's pronounced Leh-on ? (Happy to be corrected )
