Hi,

I'm expecting a baby girl in 3 weeks, after 2 boys.

I'm stuck between 2 names. Please help me decide.

Iris or Indie.

My boys are called Roman & River if that makes a difference. My surname is a common one.

Please help!

Iris, by miles.

Love both names but I feel that Indie goes better with her brothers names.

Iris

Seem to be going against the grain but I prefer Indie with your boys names, think it complements them beautifully. Both lovely though :)

Iris is a lovely name and a very beautiful flower. Congratulations!

Iris.
Indie doesn't seem to be a name, and India, Indiana and Indigo are not to my taste.

Iris

Oh I love both and both are on my list for a future dd. Although I would have India with Indie as a shortening. The only thing that puts me off iris slightly is that there isn’t a natural shortening and I’m one of those people who likes to shorten and lengthen names.

Prefer Indie but would potentially go for India, Indiana, indigo or Indira as the full name (my preference would be Indiana or India)

Iris, I prefer.

RosaSkye · 04/05/2023 10:27

I love both. I have an Iris so I’m bias towards that, but both work with your boys names.

Indie does feel more a shortening of India/Indiana to me so for that reason I’d say Iris.

Iona would be nice too
