One is my favourite, one is my husband's. Our baby girl is already here!

Which do you prefer?

Grace

Elizabeth known as Beth

Stunning

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 22/05/2023 17:54

I previously commented (and preferred Elizabeth).

But Grace Elizabeth Sara really is lovely. And seeing Grace used as a first name feels surprisingly refreshing! 💐

StopFeckingFaffing · 22/05/2023 17:44

I prefer Elizabeth to Grace

Beth is nice but personally I prefer Lizzie, Eliza or Betty

Xanadu58 · 22/05/2023 17:41

I actually really like Grace. Some other names which I think go with your boys names Ivy, Mabel, Rosa, Evelyn, Georgie, Olive. Or go for Elizabeth and Libby (your husband can call her Beth 🤪

Rbaby · 08/05/2023 21:44

Thank you again everyone. I have suggested lots of these to my DH - nicknames for Elizabeth such as Betty, Eliza, Bette - he is not keen, only likes Beth, which I am not convinced on. We think Elizabeth in full is quite a big name for baby whilst they are little.

I have suggested Nina, Alice, Susie, Harriet and more and he is not keen! The only one he has suggested is Olivia which I am not keen on and also aware of how popular it has been.

I think we are swaying towards Grace Elizabeth. Our surname begins with a G and I like the alliteration.

A bit nervous about Grace's popularity. I feel it is more of a classic than Claire as someone suggested, so it would stand the test of time better than the generation in which this was used a lot.

Will keep you updated when we finally decide!

I love the name Grace.

Festivfrenzy · 08/05/2023 16:55

Elizabeth for me- more flexible. Grace is too common now though it's nice too. The Claire of this generation I think

We still don't have a name for our lovely girl who will be two weeks old tomorrow!

Any more inspiration for a sister to Charlie (Charles on bc) and Frank?

We like classic names. (Actually we've gone off all names as we seem to be fed up of talking about it - she is currently called Baby).

Thank you 🙏

Beth as your DDs name, rather that Elizabeth which could be shortened in a variety of ways.

Skybluepinky · 03/05/2023 11:43

Beth, I know a few Grace’s and they were nightmare children who were always snotty and never did a thing they were told, so put me off.

dreamingoaholiday · 03/05/2023 11:38

Elizabeth. So many nicknames to choose from. (My name has lots of nicknames and I loved that as a child).

Grace is nice, but every other girl seems to have Grace as a middle name.
