Eve or Eva?

One last voting please!
Which do you prefer between Eve, Eva and our current forerunner Flora?

Not unduly concerned about the popularity of Eve names at the moment, which we appreciate is high.

Thanks all. We don’t mind the nn Evie at all, although appreciate it is incredibly popular!

Definitely food for thought. As PP mentioned, Flora, Heidi and Eva/Eve are all quite different vibes so may be best to wait and see what feels right when she arrives.

When we registered dd1 for 6th form as we sat down the teacher said “Eve? Evie? Eva? We said no not of those his response “worth a try pretty much every other girl this morning has been named one of those names ”

Flora, by far. There are millions of little girls called Eve / Eva / Evie etc.

I don't know why people think Eva and Eve are identical, they are like comparing Dan and Ian, one letter changed, very different result.

Evangeline can be shortened to Eva. Both are lovely. Eve is a dull thud of a name. Flora is margarine.

Er, no it isn’t - in the UK Eva is pronounced Eve-uh, so Eve and Eva are far more similar than Dan and Ian.

I love all of them actually. My favourite is Flora, so pretty but not really popular. Second favourite is Eve, my dd's middle name, and then Eva.

Really interesting to see how some people love Eve but dislike Eva and vice versa, interesting when they are so similar!

I like all three! Perhaps Eve > Eva, but can't choose between Eve and Flora. They are quite different - so maybe wait see what she looks like when she arrives?

Flora is absolutely beautiful. The spread thing always comes up on here, but it’s not a big thing in real life. Eve is much nicer than Eva (which just makes me think of my daughter , who can’t pronounce th, trying to say either.) both are miles below Flora
