Stacey or Kirsty for a girl
Gareth for a boy.

All massive bullies at school - sure the rest of the Staceys, Kirstys and Gareth's in the world are lovely!

I know a Stacy, Kirsty, & Gareth who are probably 3 of the loveliest people I know 😂

Lots of 70s sounding names- Nigel, Keith, Barry, Derek, Maurice, Kevin, Stewart, Duncan

Girls, I dislike fewer girls names- Stacey/Tracey, Karen, Julie, Miranda, Georgina, Lydia, Angela, Maureen

I tend to favour more biblical names, despite not being religious, they seems a bit more universal and classic.

@salamithumbs You weren’t far wrong in your pronunciation— Edith is a very old name and the first syllable was originally pronounced the same as in Edward/Edmund. I believe it’s the same story re Meredith.

Elspethelf · 24/04/2023 11:54

Colleen. Really any name that ended with -een. Don’t know why.

Eugene for a boy. Same reason.

Evie. She was a horrid little girl when we were in kindergarten and all through years 1 and 2 and then I escaped because we moved cities for one of my parent’s work. I’m sure she carried on her ways all through school and beyond.

MistyMountainTop · 24/04/2023 10:11

Maxine and Ruby. Both up themselves at primary 😅
