Just out of curiosity, do you like the name Keeley?

No I don’t but that’s because I associate it with someone who isn’t very nice.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 25/04/2023 23:35

Very dated.

StartleburpFearsneer · 23/04/2023 13:30

Might not bother you, but something worth knowing, is that for many men "Keeley" is Page 3, lads mag porn star Keeley Hazell. That's the immediate association. Won't be a problem with her peers though, which is definitely more important.

I don't like the sound much though, if I'm being honest.

How about Kayla or Keira?

Luredbyapomegranate · 22/04/2023 10:57

No, like Cody (was that your thread too?) it sounds like a character from Hollyoaks or a fish).

HuggingtheHRT · 22/04/2023 08:44

Never ask opinions of any girls' name on MN unless it is Otillie, Margot or Clara.

😂😂

(Personally, not a fan of Keeley, but nothing to do with pink tracksuits. Just don't like the repetition of the ee sound.)

CorsicaDreaming · 22/04/2023 08:14

My cousin is called this but it's spelt Killi. I like it. But she is a child of the 80s!

MarciaSaysANumber · 22/04/2023 08:12

I have nothing against any existing Keeley! I don’t currently know any but I’m sure they’re all perfectly nice. Until invited to express an opinion I didn’t know I had one - it’s not as if I seek out Keeleys to tell them the non-specific, abstract impression I have of their name based on various fictional TV personas. Grin

forthisinamechange · 22/04/2023 07:33

No only because I associate it with the only one I ever knew and she wasn't a nice girl!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 22/04/2023 07:23

I hope any Keeleys reading this thread aren't feeling too offended!

Hedjwitch · 22/04/2023 07:20

I know one. Currently studying to be a nurse. Lovely girl but dont like the name.

drpet49 · 22/04/2023 07:11

Don’t like it

Dotcheck · 22/04/2023 07:09

I like it.
I clicked on the thread to see how many posts it would take for someone to call it ‘chavy’. Didn’t take long. Predictable

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 22/04/2023 07:03

It’s not great. I know a couple. Both are difficult personalities. I can’t imagine a baby with this name at all! I doubt it will make a comeback.

itsabigtree · 22/04/2023 06:48

I love keeley!

DeflatedAgain · 22/04/2023 06:30

I like it. I grew up with a girl who's name was spelt - Keely.

user1492757084 · 22/04/2023 06:25

Keeley is fine. Kylie is to cute as Keeley is to traditional.

What! These are so much worse! Clotillie?? 🤣 I prefer Kaley or Kelsey, if you want something similar

It makes me think of someone keeling over 😬also agree it feels very 80s

ColdHandsHotHead · 21/04/2023 17:48

No. To me, it's not actually a real name.

Mittens1717 · 21/04/2023 12:41

Greensleeves · 20/04/2023 15:20

I think it's pretty, but it was always going to be too downmarket for MN.

Never ask opinions of any girls' name on MN unless it is Otillie, Margot or Clara.

100%

Robinsflyhigh · 21/04/2023 12:37

I don't dislike it, but when I see it written down I feel overwhelmed by the letter "e".
