Jack as middle name for Jude

I really want Jack for sentimental reasons as a middle name but the only boys name I can settle on is Jude and I just don't think Jude jack sounds right... do people agree? Should I split it up with another middle name? Jude Henry jack for instance? Any suggestions welcome!!!

When I say it out loud it comes out as JooJack, they run into one another. Jude xxxx Jack would be much better if there’s another middle name you like that would go between them.

I have a Jude (it was the only boys name that I liked too) but can't imagine a Jude Jack. If you are dead set on Jack then maybe a Jack something could work.

That said - how often do any of us use or even acknowledge our middle names? My Jude is 13 and it's never once come up except in one of those jokey 'what's your middle name' conversations so maybe it's not such a huge deal.

I think it's also dependent on how many syllables your surname has as to what sounds right or doesn't.

No, it doesn’t sound good! It would sound as if you didn’t realise there are other names. All the parents in the playground would be side-eying you …

Jude Alexander Jack
Jude Sebastian Jack
Jude Oliver Jack
Anything …

Jude Jack sounds good (two of my favorite England players names so I'm biased!) And he could use the nickname JJ if he wanted! How often do you use the middle name anyway? If you like it then go for it! Smile

Split it up with another middle name, that will sound fine!
