For the longest time I was going to have Emily Ciara Niamh for a girl. I have no idea where I got that combo from, and Reuben for a boy.

Tiger-Lily. I thought it was the best name ever.

Tammy- lee, she was American and only came to our school for a short while in the late 70's, l thought back then her name was really cool.

This is easy because I recently found a list that I wrote in the early 80’s when I was about ten:

Dannii
Bekkii
Sammii

All with hearts over the i’s. Obviously.

Julie, it seemed so glamorous compared to my name which I hated growing up, but have learned to like - Elizabeth

Saffric Curan for a boy. No idea where I got these names from, but I loved them to bits when I was about fourteen!

Nala & Malachi

Kerry

I was certain I would have a child I would call Kerry. Then I fell for a Kerry who didn't feel the same way towards me. Then I couldn't get pregnant.

So this is a depressing post.

Antonia. There was a girl at my primary school called Antonia [+ rare, pretty surname]. I admired her because she was older than me, she was kind and I loved her name. I also thought she was a beautiful girl. With hindsight, I can see that she wasn’t conventionally good looking, but such was the power of her name and character.
