Do you know of a Claudia?

Do you know of any baby / children Claudia’s? I don’t personally and love the name but someone did say it’s quite an older person name ….. so just wondering really

I have one and she's 9. You don't come across many that's for sure. I agree with the the previous poster who said that the meaning keeps it from becoming an overly popular name - at least that's my theory. In the last ten years or so there is only ever been around 150-200 Claudia's named per year in the UK.

I think the unfortunate meaning (disabled/lame in Latin) puts many people off so it's never very popular

Claudia is a beautiful name!
It reminds me of the character Claudia Kishi in the book series "The Baby-Sitters Club" (1980's/90's).

I know two...both young teenagers and both pronounced "Claw-dia" so that definitely not age related.

I know one and she's lovely. (I'm 52 and met her at Brownies)
Then, only Claudia Winkleman.

I know of one, she's 9 or 10. She's of Polish origin, it's spelled with a K and pronounced Cloud -ia

It’s a great name

Never common enough to be ‘an old person’s name’ but I think it was more popular in the 30s-50s so about due a revival

My PA at work, in her early 30’s is a Claudia - her sister is Camilla . Both names I like.

I know a family friend who's in her 60s, she's really lovely. It's a beautiful name, and it was on our shortlist.
