Seth (worried about Sef)
Francis nn Frank
Vincent (really dislike Vinnie which I know it will become)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Undertheoldlindentree · 02/04/2023 17:54

If you like Seth but want to get away from the 'th' sound, how about Seb? Can have Sebastian on b/c or not, as you wish.

Vincent and Frank are just too 'middle aged bloke down the boozer' for my liking. Francis is a bit drippy sounding, sorry, not sure why!

The one name from that era I think sounds and looks good is Eric. Not sure why it hasn't escaped the same fate as the others.

aibutohavethisusername · 02/04/2023 17:48

Seth

eatdrinkandbemerry · 02/04/2023 17:43

Francis is the only one that's not going to rile you but even then he might get Frankie not frank

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/04/2023 17:41

Seth.

It’s no more of a pronunciation problem than Arthur and there are zillions of those. It’s very underused.

I like Francis too but it’s becoming quite popular

No point in choosing Vincent if you don’t like Vinnie (I don’t either).

Vodababy · 02/04/2023 17:41

@Tradeup I agree - sorry OP but none of them are great.

MashedUpPotatoes · 02/04/2023 17:40

Francis known as Franky/frannie

Tradeup · 02/04/2023 17:40

Yes hate to say it OP but none of them are great tbh. Any other ideas? The

Tradeup · 02/04/2023 17:39

Vincent is the best Seth doesn’t have any strong syllables and is very lispy. Not keen.

Frankie for a little boy is cute.

Viviennemary · 02/04/2023 17:38

Not mad keen on any of them. But they are by no means awful. Prefer Seth or Francis to Vinnie

cptartapp · 02/04/2023 17:38

Francis at a push, even that is a bit effeminate.
Really dislike the others.

Teeshirt · 02/04/2023 17:36

Seth is really awful.
Francis and Vincent are both nice.

SophiaSW1 · 02/04/2023 17:34

Seth. I think the other two are dreadful

YouSoundLovely · 02/04/2023 17:27

They're all nice, but Francis is my favourite - however, I really don't like Frank ('bit of a bruiser name' as per a PP sums it up for me - don't agree with her assessment of Francis as 'wet', though!), and I think it's a separate name anyway and not a shortening of Francis.

TomatoSandwiches · 02/04/2023 17:12

Vincent, nn Vince.

TeddyTrucks · 02/04/2023 17:10

Seth is definitely my favourite. It was on my boys' list but I ended up only having girls 🙂

shoopshoopdedoo · 02/04/2023 16:51

I love Frank! So, Francis

MajorCarolDanvers · 02/04/2023 16:09

Francis

No need for nick names

Comedycook · 02/04/2023 16:06

Not crazy on any of them.. Francis is a bit wet yet I find Frank a bit of a bruiser name so two extremes.

Vincent is awful.

Seth is definitely the nicest

strawberry2017 · 02/04/2023 16:05

Seth

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 02/04/2023 16:04

NEC2678 · 02/04/2023 15:17

Seth (worried about Sef)
Francis nn Frank
Vincent (really dislike Vinnie which I know it will become)

I think you’ve answered your own question. If you live somewhere where Seth will be Seff and you strongly dislike Vinnie then Francis / Frank it is. Great name.

shutthewindownow · 02/04/2023 15:55

Don't like any of theM

atthebottomofthehill · 02/04/2023 15:54

Francis

Strong dislike the others

StopFeckingFaffing · 02/04/2023 15:53

I like Vincent best - you could use Vince as a shortening if you hate Vinnie

Seth and Francis both nice too

Tellmethespoiler · 02/04/2023 15:34

Hate Seth.
Not keen on Francis but like Frank.
Vincent is favourite. The one I know - late teen -is never called Vinnie.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 02/04/2023 15:32

Seth is my favourite.
