Seth is my favourite, but I also like Vincent. He could become Vince if you don't like Vinny?

purpledalmation · 03/04/2023 08:55

Not keen on any

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/04/2023 08:38

Vincent, but I like Vinnie. Otherwise Seth.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/04/2023 05:12

Francis it'd have to be. Im the same with you in regards to Vincent I despise Vinnie, and I just don't like the sound of Seth.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 03/04/2023 04:56

You don’t have to ‘give in’ to diminutives but the inconvenient thing about children is that they do develop their own opinions, and might decide that they want to be known by the diminutive that you strongly dislike.

Sugarfree23 · 03/04/2023 04:38

Vincent or Francis
I'm not a fan of Seth. I always think it looks short for something.

As previous poster said you don't need to give into a nickname with in the family. Bit more difficult with secondary aged and beyond kids. But then people might respect that an call him by his proper name within earshot of you.

user1492757084 · 03/04/2023 04:11

I know two Vincents and they are Vin and Vince.
One syllable nick names will rule, particularly if you call him Vince or Vincent or whatever.
I have never heard Vinnie.

My favourite is .. Vincent
and second I like .. Francis.
I like the sound, the meaning and the history of those two names that have Saint connections too.

Zola1 · 02/04/2023 20:51

Love Francis nn Frank or Frankie

SkyeBlue28 · 02/04/2023 20:48

Francis nn Frank is my favourite from your list

Hedjwitch · 02/04/2023 20:47

You dont need to give in to a nickname you know.

DS is Joseph. Not Joe. Not Joey. Just Joseph.
If people try to call him Joe he just politely says" It's Joseph".

user1476119985 · 02/04/2023 20:44

Francis is my favourite

SnottyLottie · 02/04/2023 20:43

Seth is my favourite

Francis is okay, I don’t like Frank as a nn (i think it’s very harsh if you know what I mean and reminds me of the adjective) but I think Frankie is cute

I am not keen on Vincent and I really hate Vinnie too

Giggorata · 02/04/2023 20:38

None are favourites of mine.
I recently heard Vincent shortened to Vin, which is OK.

Moonshine5 · 02/04/2023 20:34

Tbh not keen on any

Vistro · 02/04/2023 20:32

cavalier · 02/04/2023 19:50

KirstenBlest · 02/04/2023 19:48

Francis

SundayTeatime · 02/04/2023 19:46

Vincent is an amazing name. I know a very cool 20-something one.
Francis is OK. Pretty good.
Seth is horrid.

DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2023 19:17

Vincent is good. Cool.

I like Francis but hate Frank.

Seth is just, so... slithery. Awful name.

lauraisa · 02/04/2023 19:13

Seth or Francis

redyellowpinkbluegreen · 02/04/2023 18:27

MikeLitoriss · 02/04/2023 18:27

shivbo2014 · 02/04/2023 18:23

aibutohavethisusername · 02/04/2023 18:12
