Lucy or Isabel

Trying to make a final decision on babys name, what are your thoughts on Lucy or Isabel?

Prefer Isabel although I like the Isabelle spelling better.

My eldest daughter is Lucy Isabel, so they both have my vote!

I've got an Isobella, in her year (60 kids) there's one other Isabella so it's not THAT popular where we are. Lucy is a great name too though!

Thanks for the feedback, I hadn't thought about all the variations of Isabel out there which might be a bit annoying for her when she's older!

Lucy...I love it. It's so simple yet feminine without being fluffy. Popular and well-known but not overused nowadays.

There's so many Isobels/Isabellas around at the moment

They're both really lovely names but Lucy as it's just so beautiful. Isabel is great too but it will get lost within all the varying spellings and then there's the varying spellings of Izzy too. So Lucy for me although Isabel is still lovely! 😊

I don't like Lucy. To me it belongs in the Jane, Pauline, Tracy category

Both were on my shortlist for DD. Both lovely. If you go for Isabel, you'll have to contend with Izzy, Isobel, isabelle, isobelle, isabella etc etc.
