Do you like this name? How many do you know?
Is it too bold for a new baby?

I like Frank a great deal. Cool dude name

Francis to me is wet and blah I don't like it at all.

mac1974 · 21/03/2023 19:29

I know a 2 yo frank. He's gorgeous. The name really suits him.

MyMumsOnMN · 21/03/2023 19:26

Frankie is better than Frank.

Robot278 · 21/03/2023 19:25

Yes we have been considering Francis for the birth certificate but calling him Frank/Frankie
It seems like Francis for the birth certificate is the most popular option

I love it! I know one in his 30s and he’s very cool, and one baby Frank (Francis)

SummaLuvin · 21/03/2023 18:59

Frank is brilliantly elegant - short, sharp, and swish. It is a standalone name that doesn't need to be short for anything, Francis is rather 'meh' as far as I am concerned.

ClaraThePigeon · 21/03/2023 18:44

It's an incredibly ugly and harsh sounding name. Yet for some reason every second Mumsnetter seems to be obsessed with it or Francis at the moment.

Snoopystick · 21/03/2023 18:43

Francis as other posters have said with nn Frank

misslomi · 21/03/2023 18:42

Love it!

Would go for Francis though so can be shortened to Frank/Frankie.

Aily17 · 21/03/2023 18:42

It's a nice name

ourflagmeansdeath · 21/03/2023 18:41

I dislike it unfortunately 😥But I love Francis which could have the nickname Frank.

FASDE1517 · 21/03/2023 18:41

Love it. I quite a few (I'm a teacher). It's very lovely though.

Twoinapod · 21/03/2023 18:41

Not a fan of it. Makes me think of a large, bald heavily tattooed man from the east end

PlumberProblems · 21/03/2023 18:40

Yes I know a Frank. He is 2. I think it suits him. A classic.
